About NorthStar Engineering and Surveying, Inc.

Our History

Created in May 1996 with the purchase of KLH Engineering of Pueblo, Inc. NorthStar and its predecessor firms (KLH Engineering, Inc. – 1976 to 1996; Genge, Inc. – 1975 to 1976; McIntire & Quiros, Inc. – 1971 to 1975; Elliot and Associates, Inc. – 1946 to 1971; and Blackburn Engineering – 1939 to 1946) have been providing quality engineering, design, consulting, and surveying services in Colorado since 1939.

Our Leader

Michael graduated in 1999 from Colorado State University-Pueblo and has more than 25 years of professional experience in civil/site design, master planning, and surveying on a wide array of engineering and surveying projects. Those projects include: storm drainage and floodplain improvements, highway and roadway improvements, commercial and residential developments, utility treatment and distribution facilities, athletic facility improvements, and horizontal and vertical geometric design processes for roadways. In addition to his project planning and design responsibilities, Michael also has extensive experience in boundary, right-of-way, topographic, improvement, and cadastral surveys; section breakdown; horizontal and vertical control (for aerial mapping); ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys; and construction and utility staking.
